From June 16th 1998 all craft up to 24m in length with few exceptions are required to comply with the requirements of the RCD (Recreational Craft Directive) when they are first offered for sale in the EU.
Our services include full certification to Categories C&D and liaison with a notified body where required. On your behalf, we are able to work with hull builders and report against the Code of Practice issued by CBA (Canal Boatbuilders Association) and/or ISO/BS/EN standards and codes to include production of a 'snagging list' where appropriate.
We can then provide assistance for boat-builders with production of their technical file, buoyancy and stability testing leading to production of the builder's plate and Annexe IIIa (where applicable) or full compliance documentation. We are happy to offer advice at all stages of the fit-out, including evaluation of product suitability, production of the user manual and certificate of conformity.
